HISTORY
The creation of Turons 1951 comes at the end of the 2011-2012 season (March 23 to be precise). The objective of this new group is above all to bring together different generations of fans in order to animate the stadium (both visually and vocally) but especially to give a real place in the world of the stands in their city. The group takes place in the north gallery of the Cher Valley newly built. A good hundred young people will find themselves spontaneously, a few pots of smoke and smoke will fill their tribune despite an excessive repression of the public powers on pyrotechnics.
The Turons were really born and the beginning of a long adventure was about to begin.
However, during the 2012-2013 season, the group, faithful to its principles defending popular football, decided to boycott the stadium, the matches taking place at 18:30 due to TV
rights. This break, in partnership with all the groups of supporters of Ligue 2 gathered in the collective "SOS Ligue 2", was not in vain, the LFP holding the arguments of the
various stakeholders and restored the matches at 20h. Following this episode, the collective is renamed "National Association of Supporters" (ANS) and works to defend
fundamental rights, so often violated by the authorities, allowing the holding of "Assises of Supporterism". The Turons will remain faithful to the values they hold dear by being
members of the ANS.
Following the return to the stadium, the atmosphere spread more beautiful, with a real craze popular following the good sports results of the team that plays the climb until the 30th day. The group can then start on a good basis and thus establish itself as a real vector for the public of the country eager to vibrate to the sound of drums and give voice on the night of the match. The group's raison d'être, however, is not only to defend the values of the Touraine region within its stronghold, but to wear its colors throughout France as their teams travel. Nothing like a good "dep" to tighten the links of members, cars, J9, bus, train, plane ... Everything happened there. Anecdotes began to accumulate, between rival bands who will flee, and evenings well watered in the four corners of France (some villages still remember us ...)
Over time, the group is imposing itself in the landscape of Tours by its actions at the stadium and out of stadium, creating a real cultural and societal local movement, bringing
together many young people eager to share and respect our regional pride.
The group begins to find themselves, drawing both in the Italian model and the English model. But it is true that to build a reputation, the group will have to rely on itself.
The team's disappointing results over time and the rest of the Tourangeau crowd confusing the Tours stadium with a movie theater. It is on beautiful mobilizations in the street that
the Turons will have to count. Despite a certain youth at the time (about 20 years of average age) the desire was there. The previous groups having completely disappeared without
leaving a trace, there were no old people, nor anyone able to transmit a certain knowledge. Everything was therefore to be done, it was therefore necessary to take charge alone.
The seasons continue, and at the end of 2014: 35 IDS (stadium ban) fall improperly following the displacement of Le Havre. The Turons are caught on all sides by crooked journalists
and general information zeal by confusing fans and terrorists. The group will suffer a lot from this handicap, and it is on top of that that it will forge a true cohesion between these
members, allowing the success of its entity in a common and passionate goal.
The following seasons the Tifos are bigger, more worked, the experience begins to be felt. The Turons 1951 are maturing, more and more moves are made, messages are passed to the
stadium. Everyone now puts a name to what is the heart of the Cher Valley and the soul of this city across France.
Pyrotechnics is also at the rendezvous, and it is the evening of a match against Fc Metz that we will pay the price by meeting the SIR (rapid intervention section). Wanting to
challenge one of our members muscularly for an unfortunate pot of smoke, it is a violent altercation that will break out in the North Turn. The SIR will be pushed out of the turn but
the damage would be done, two IDS and the skull of one of our guys opened with blows of telescopic baton. However, a few months later, the French justice rarely on the side of its
supporters, will come back on the stadium ban decision judging without foundation.
After this news, the group reaches its peak, the animations at the stadium are linked. Memories accumulate for each of us. The group is going in the rising direction and in these
times of crises it is hardly credible.
The 2014/2015 season begins with a split group, some wanting to get closer to the Italian model and others in a "trip" a little more "street". Until now everyone was grouped under
the same banner and the strength of this small group came from there. A new direction of the group is formed. She is inexperienced and far from original values. This one tries
somehow to give another dynamic.
With time, the culture "tribune" is lost. The songs have not the same scope and in this season 2015/2016 the animations are rare, but nevertheless of quality.
Then comes the 2016/2017 season, the stadium is empty. The club is last, eliminated from the Coupe de France in the first round by a Division of Honor, and Turons 1951 are a
handful to attend the stadium. The management of the group can no longer get along, the organization is no longer at the rendezvous. What can be done to not definitively kill this
group for which so much blood, money, and energy have been paid?
A sleep was necessary until a solution was found, but all that seemed hopeless. The club will surely be relegated, or even be demoted to DH if the direction goes.
Seeing this sad spectacle, former founding members return to test the ground in search of potential and envy. Informal trips will be made as in Reims, Auxerre, Laval where about
forty guys will take place spontaneously. A new management team was appointed in April 2017, setting up monthly meetings and appointing real managers to key positions (travel,
communication, events, young guardian leader ...). A promise is made, the group will resume even in National. But the magic of football allows us to go up the steps one after another
with a maintenance in league 2 to the key! Everything is saved.
2017 is a breath of fresh air, the creation of the Young Guard to create a pool of young Touraine with our values and ensure the future of the band.
Then comes the facebook page: Tours Fans, in a cultural and informative role, which will support this new breath.
In 2017/2018 the group will resume its activities as it has never done before and by offering animations with a social activity in constant evolution.
